Day 5- Venice and its secrets
Morning: private transfer from Florence to Venice (3 hours and 30). Check in at the selected Hotel in Venice and lunch in a trattoria closed to your accomodation. Afternoon: private gondola tour (40 min) along the Grand Canal to relax with the boat gently floating on the water and appreciate the unusual reality of this atypical city. The tour will proceeds with a short walk from St. Mark’s Square to the typical neighbourhood of Castello: you will sit down having an ice cream, with the background of curious and unusual tales about the city.

Day 6- Venice islands and relax

You will start your tour visiting Trevi Fountain, made by Nicola Salvi; the Pantheon, an enormous building constructed by the Ancient Rome, admired and studied by Michelangelo; Piazza Navona, a typical baroque square considered as the square of the artists where the “Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi” by Bernini stands out; Castel S. Angelo and St. Peter’s Basilica, the centre of Christianity. The tour will last around three hours. After the tour you will have free time to enjoy the city on your own. Day 3 Rome - Orvieto - Wine&Oil Tour - Todi - Perugia

Free visit (entrance ticket included) to the highest water fall in Europe with a drop of 165 metres. This is an attraction to tens of thousands people every year, created by Roman consul Manlius Curtius Dentatus who artificially channelled the waters of the Velino river.
Marmore falls are also famous for being a wonderful locations for many movies such as “Life is beautiful”and “Pinocchio” by Roberto Benigni. The visit will last two hours.
Later private transfer to Narni, ancient Roman city in strategical position in the consolar Flaminia street. Free visit of the medioeval city, location of the famous “The Chronicles of Narnia”, the epic fantasy film based on the seven novel published by C.S. Lewis.

First afternoon arrival in Siena. Meeting with your guide and visit the beautiful medieval city renown for the Palio. Day 4 Florence - Venice
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning you will reach the starting point of your guided tour of Florence (It starts at 10,00, daily except Mondays. On Monday it will be replaced by a one day open bus ticket). Private transfer from Hotel to the meeting point (Piazza della Repubblica, “Caffè Le Giubbe Rosse”).
This tour in the cradle of Renaissance (2 hours) allows you to discover 2000 years of Florentine history and great personalities (Dante, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo). You will visit the beautiful Piazza della Repubblica (with its roman influencies), Palazzo Davanzati, Ponte Vecchio covered since medieval times with goldsmiths' shops, Piazza Signoria through the Uffizi Courtyard. From the civic centre you will explore the religious part of the city with the Oratory of the Bonomini (closed to Dante's house), the Cathedral and Baptistery of St. John.

Day 5 Venice
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning guided tour of Venice (It starts at 9,00). From the meeting point (Piazza San Marco, Tourist Office) enjoy a walking tour of this unique city: you will see the Piazza of St. Mark, Visiting the St. Mark's Basilica with its marble and mosaics; the Ducal Palace symbol of the Venice Republic political and commercial powers; the Bridge of sighs and the famous Venice Jails. At the end of the tour you will have the opportunity to visit a glass factory to see the moulding glass. (The visit to is optional and not included in the Walking Tour).

Day 6 Venice - Milan

Day 8 Rome - Naples – Torre del Greco - Pompei - Rome
Breakfast at Hotel. Pick up at your Hotel at 6,30 a.m. (group tour). Leaving Rome towards the south, you will cross the fertile Roman countryside known as the "Castelli Romani". Halfway along the highway you will be able to see the Abbey of Montecassino, famous for the battle and its complete destruction which happened during the second World War. Arriving in Naples we will proceed towards the hill of Posillipo from where we can enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the Gulf of Naples and the Volcano Vesuvio. Descending towards the port of Mergellina and following the coast you will arrive in the ancient fishing quarter of Santa Lucia with its impressive Castel dell'Ovo (photograph stop). The city tour continues crossing the historical centre to see Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola, the San Carlo Opera House, the Gallery of Umberto I and the imposing Maschio Angioino. Upon leaving the city, we cross the fertile valley of Mount Vesuvius, passing the villages of Ercolano, Torre del Greco and Torre Annunziata before finally arriving at Pompeii where we will stop for lunch (included).
In the afternoon you will continue with a local guide on foot for an archaeological journey through the ancient city for approx a 2 hours visit. Buried under a layer of ashes and Lapilli by a sudden eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D., after 1700 years the excavations have brought to light Pompeii, a town whose daily life of the Imperial Age has been crystallized, as under a spell, in its gestures, secrets, in the panic felt by its inhabitants during the last moments.
At the end of the visit we will return to the coach for a journey of approx 3 hours back to Rome. During this excursion we will visit a Coral and Cameo factory where we will have the opportunity to inspect and purchase items of this ancient craft dating back to the Greek period. Approximate arrival time around 8,00 - 8,30 pm and return to, or nearby your Hotel. Overnight at your Hotel.
Day 9 Rome – Island of Capri - Rome
Breakfast at Hotel. Pick up at your Hotel at 6,30 a.m. and group transfer to Naples.
Arriving in Naples we will board the jet boat and after about 45 minutes we will land at the Port of Marina Grande on the Island of Capri. Here we will then board motorboats and enter the Blue Grotto (if weather and sea conditions permit). By minibuses we will drive then through the winding streets of the island reaching the tiny village of Anacapri situated at 280mt above the sea level from where we will have a wonderful view of the bay of Naples. Lunch in a typical restaurant. After lunch we will have some free time to take unforgettable photographs and purchase local products. We then return to Marina Grande to board the boat back to Naples. Entering the harbour of Naples don't miss the opportunity to admire the outstanding Maschio Angioino, fortress of the XII century, the Certosa of San Martino and the Royal Palace. After disembarking we will take our coach for the return trip to Rome. After approx 3 hours we will reach Rome. Return to, or nearby your Hotel. Overnight at your Hotel.

Day 3: Orvieto
Breakfast and check out at your hotel. Late morning departure by private van towards Orvieto area, at the boundary between Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany Regions. This area is considered the green hearth of Italy for its wonderful panoramas, prestigious wines and oil.
Late morning visit of Orvieto, a pearl of Umbria. This city is magnificent from any angle, positioned atop a 300 metres volcanic plateau overlooking the beautiful vineyards of the Umbrian valleys.
Later transfer to an ancient Umbrian Wine Cellar and extra virgin Olive Mill. Here Serena will tell us everything about wine and oil's secrets, witnessing the experience of her gran-gran parents, in the field of enology and oil from 1913. Extra virgin olive oil and Wine Tasting experience into an Etruscan grotto underneath the soil. Light lunch at the Wine Cellar with tastings of different genuine dishes.

From the civic centre you will explore the religious part of the city with the Oratory of the Bonomini (closed to Dante's house), the Cathedral and Baptistery of St. John.

Day 5: Siena – Cultural masterpiece
Train Transfer from Chiusi to Siena. Meeting at 1,00 pm in Piazza del Campo, in front of the tourist board, for a guided tour of Siena. This tour will bring you to all of the main historical and cultural sights: the worldwide famous Piazza del Campo, where the Palio horse race is held, the historical building of the Monte Paschi bank, the Tolomei Palace, the Chigi Palace - now a Music Academy-, the Cathedral dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption. Michelangelo, Donatello, Bernini, Giovanni Pisano left their immortal masterpieces here; while the untouched frescoes in the Piccolomini Library are an incredible treat for the eye. The remarkable inlaid marble floor of the Cathedral is unveiled for a couple of months at the end of every summer.

Day 6: Perugia and Assisi
Private bus transfer from Chiusi to Perugia. Private guided visit of Perugia city centre, alive capital of Umbria, still well preserved from Etruscan times, home to the world renowned Umbrian Jazz Festival and Perugina Chocolate. Among the narrow streets you will visit: Etruscan Rocca Paolina, the Fontana Maggiore, the Piazza, the Palazzo dei Priori. Sample of chocolate in an artisan laboratory (optional).
In the afternoon departure for Assisi, World Heritage site and centre of the Franciscan spirituality: guided tour of the Piazza del Comune and the Basilicas of Santa Chiara and San Francesco, with its early Renaissance masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue. Opportunity to visit an artisan laboratory of precious icons. Overnight at your Hotel in Chiusi.
Day 7: Todi
Check out at your Hotel in Chiusi. Train transfer from Chiusi to Orvieto. Private transfer by bus from Orvieto to Todi. Free visit of the impressive hill, home town of Jacopone; visit to Piazza del Popolo, its palaces and its Dome. Later private transfer from Todi to Rome. Overnight at your Hotel in Rome
